Typhoon Ruby/Hagupit No Longer a "Super Typhoon"

According to JTWC Typhoon Ruby (Hagupit) is no longer a "super" typhoon. But its tropical cyclone warning as of 11 a.m. (PHL time), indicated there is a chance Ruby may cross Metro Manila on Wednesday.
 
In its warning, JTWC said Ruby had been "downgraded" from Super Typhoon to Typhoon.
 
Ruby as of 8 a.m. Friday packed winds of 125 knots or 231.50 kph, and gustiness of 150 knots or 277.8 kph.
 
By 8 p.m., it is expected to pack winds of 120 knots or 222.24 kph and gustiness of 145 knots or 268.54 kph.
 
At 8 a.m. Saturday, it is forecast to pack winds of 115 knots or 212.98 kph and gustiness of 140 knots or 259.28 kph. By 8 p.m. Saturday, it is expected to have winds of 110 knots or 203.72 kph and gustiness of 135 knots or 250.02 kph.
 
However, the JTWC also projected that Ruby will pass parts of eastern Visayas and Luzon between Saturday and Sunday.
 
It is then projected to pass through parts of Bicol, and then Metro Manila on Wednesday morning, before exiting Luzon by Wednesday, Dec. 10.
 
By the time it reaches the Manila area, its winds are projected to weaken to 65 knots (120.38 kph), with gustiness of 80 knots (148.16 kph).
